Screen Messed

    Has anybody else ran into this issue... I'm not sure what to do to fix it. It looks like the system isn't reading the EDID from the monitor properly. I tried forcing 1024x600 with rivatuner but it was still messed.

    Any ideas or should I just rma?

    Did you open the aao ?
    the monitor cable is mounted at the motherboard, (transparent sticker fixes the small coloured cables in place.)
    I had this problem for a short time, when i did the touchscreen mod (it is a loose connection of the connector). I carefully dismounted the connector from the mainboard, controlled the tin-pins, made sure there was no dust on them, reattached the connector and did a system reboot. Then the problem was gone.

    RMA is the way to go.

    It's so random - mine does it - I then do a restore - fixes it 90% of the time. The between 1-3 days it does it again.
