Screen problems

    Hello,

    Please could somebody help me.

    I changed the plastic surround on my acer aspire one and now the screen is appearing in 4 parts with black pixels on the right hand side. Does anyone know what could be causing this and how i can fix it?

    Haven't used WIndows in a while, but I'll give it a go. Black on the right is definitely a timing issue. I think the 4-part display is a resolution issue. Right-click in a blank area on the desktop and look at the display settings

    Problem solved!
    Check the display connector on the motherboard again.
    For me, the cable was plugged in too deep.
    After playing a bit with the cable and connector now everythin works fine
