Screen Resolution Backtrack4,

    I have used BT3 and managed to get a screen resolution of 1024x600 by using the method devised by CHEOPS.
    Now I am using BT4 I am finding it impossible to get 1024x600.
    I have searched this forum and the BT4 forums to no avail.
    Methods described on this site ie: "edit xorg" " "edit Menu list" have not worked for me.
    I am a complete Linux moron!
    HELP HELP
