I just tried the Downscaling Switcher V1.1(Eng) and it works fine. It's a single EXE file that manipulates a registry entry to switch from 1024x600 normal to 1024x768 compressed to fit the normal screen. You can put a quick launch icon in the bottom tray and toggle between the two modes. One click activates the program and a second click for Yes to switch to the other mode. I use it for a telescope camera program that won't fit the regular AA1 screen. You have to untick the box in graphic properties to hide unsupported video modes.
