Okay..so I will be using my netbook..say in FB and all of a sudden I seem to hit something or some combination of keys I cant figure out and my screen will shrink up to about a third of itself (the view) and into the left hand corner. I have to close out the browser and re open to reset it. Whats goign on? anyone know how to fix this or what I'm doing?

    I have a sililar issue on mine - but I don't think it's really a problem.

First - is it similar to hitting CTRL and + or CTRL and - ... the text size gets bigger and smaller?

It is possible that your hand is hitting the ctrl key and your other is scrolling up and down. CTRL and scrolling will increase/decrease the size of the font.

Another possible issue is the trackpad. If you have the Synaptics drives installed, you might have pinch enabled. Pinch allows you to zoom in/out using a pinching motion on the track pad with two fingers. It is possible parts of your thumb and/or palm might hit the trackpad in a way that replicates this pinching motion.

THAT'S IT!!!! The strange zooming thing that has been driving me batty!!! Two quick questions about it:
    1. Is there a quick way to return it to normal?
    2. If not, is there a way to disable it?

    Thanks!

You can disable it in the mouse properties. Go to

Start > Control Panel > Mouse

In the Mouse Properties window, click on the Device Settings tab.

Make sure the Synaptics TouchPad is selected, then click Settings.

In the Properties For Synaptics TouchPad window, click on the + next to Advanced Gestures, then select Pinch.

In the Pinch window, make sure the checkbox that says Enable_Pinch is not checked.

If you had to uncheck it, click Apply, then OK, and you're done.
