Screen Too Wide / Distorted On Acer Aspire One A0A150

Hi. I was moving my laptop about 25 feet to another location while it was still on. I then plugged it into an external monitor like I always do. It was too wide and distorted. Then I tried just using my netbook's screen and it too looked distorted and everything was too big for the screen even though I made sure the screen resolution settings were what they were supposed to be and rebooted the netbook. I think I may have accidentally used the zoom in feature of my netbook, but try as i might, i cannot make the screen appear normal. It appears distorted, too big, and too wide.
