..... does it matter that the speed rating is only a "2".... ones with higher speed are a bit more expensive.... will i suffer with only a 2?

I've just ordered an 8gb Class 6 card from play.com for £17.99 - I havent recieved it yet (should be here tomorrow), but will let you know. I decided to avoid Ebay for cards because of the high volume of fakes around. I ordered a 1gb MS for my camera from a high volume power seller with good feedback and STILL got a fake card. Obviously, I got a quick refund and reported it to ebay, but even so, for the sake of a couple of quid the last thing I want is any data stored on my card to corrupt and get lost.

The general opinion on the speed of cards was, again, as the difference in price is quite small, it would be a false economy to get the basic card.

I ordered the Sandisk Extreme II from MyMemory today, they have 20% sale on Sandisk today only, so it was £13.59 delivered. Just use the mysan01 code at checkout.

You can get class 6 cards cheaper than that, I have tried a couple of these, work fine

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Transcend-8GB-S ... 712&sr=8-2

(That's £9.96! (prices change daily (I paid ~£13) so don't delay order too long, shipping is £4.50 so you get better value if you order more than 1)

Its the play.com one (which I'm lead to beleive is a Toshiba? one with a play.com sticker on it). I've 'got' to transfer some mp3 and video files tonight, so will update you later on it.
