Welcome to the forum ficklefingers. Yes, you can use the SD card as a storage device and copy things whichever way you want. Which model laptop do you have exactly?

If you explain a little more what you'd like to do and I'm sure we can help :). Do you want to take photos on the camera and just view them on the laptop, or do you want to backup the files to another SD card to store?

Acer qivcz aspire chromebook I got it for my wife to take to Greece because of it's size I should have checked it's storage capacity.I purchased a san disc 32g card I would like to know how to store photo's from the camera on it usually I can just import pics from the camera but now it just scans them and then nothing I'm guessing it's at capacity. Thanks for the response.

Not 100% sure WITH A CHROMEBOOK but you should be able to right click on the photo's and select copy then highlight the SD CARD/DRIVE and right click again, then select paste. This should free up the chromebook storage and move files/photo's to the sd card for viewing.

IF VIEWING THE PHOTO'S still does not work, then you may have to download a photo viewer program from the play store.it just might be a viewer type problem and not a storage one.
