seperate partition for ubuntu netbook edition

    hi all

    i have an acer aspire one and would like to know if i install the netbook editon of ubuntu if it will replace my winxp install or if it can be installed into its own partition?

    i have a 160G hd and the drive is one partition. Will ubuntu create a seperate partition when it installs?
