    Hi,

    I recently got a A110 Aspire One with Linpus on it
    I wanted to put Lubuntu on it but noticed several problems :

    - boot problem with only "L 99 99 99..." sequence on the screen after Post (OS problem i suppose)
    - Usb Pendrive boot is ok

    - Lubuntu install don't execute so i tested with the "memtest" function in it
    -> after 1 pass i got 22 528 errors !!??

    I suppose the Ram module is dead but the 512Mb of ram in it are stucked in the motherboard, aren't they ?? so what can i do beside change the motherboard ??

    thanx a lot
    Ps : sorry for my bad english
    greets from France :)

    There is a slot for additional (up to a 1 GIG) memory on the bottom of the motherboard. However, you have to completely disassemble the net book to get at it. If you Google how to disassemble an AOA-110, you will find several references. However, I don't know if that would make a difference if the 512 k of memory soldered to the motherboard is damaged. Here is a video from You Tube on how to disassemble it.

    Hi,

    thanx for your answer
    I think too that if i let the soldered ram in it, it will still crash, maybe a little less, but it's not a real solution
    Do you know if there's a way to deactivate this Ram ?
