I have entered both OpenDNS addresses in the network preferences. When I activate the network and look in the resolv.conf I can see there are 3 addresses:

    192.168.1.1
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220

So the primary DNS is 192.168.1.1
If I edit this address out the response is much faster as its using OpenDNS, but this only lasts until the next reboot.

How can I prevent this unwanted address being used ? I assume its coming from the router.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I'm trying this too but resolv.conf always reverts back after reboot. I've searched the forum but can't find any info on how to permanently override the DNS setting with the Open DNS ones.

    Thanks,
