That depends on where you are in the world. The CPU alternatives differ alot on the different markeds. Both the 1410 and the 1810 are/was available with single core and dual core.. Probably the only persistant difference between the two is that the 1810 is delivered with a larger capacity battery than the 1410.
To directly answer your question, the C2S (SU3500) is faster than the celeron (M743) and the 1810 has approximatly 2 hours longer battery life than the 1410.

I have a 1410 with the dual-core SU2300 processor and I am very happy with it.

Is this going to be your primary computer, or just for when you travel? If it's going to be your primary, the processors in the 1810 are slightly more powerful than the SU2300 in the 1410.

For travelling, however, the longer battery life of the 1810 is a big consideration.

At the end of the day you probably won't regret getting a bigger hard drive, faster processor, more RAM, more battery with the 1810, but it depends if it's worth the extra money to YOU.

As always, it depends what YOUR needs are.
