Simple bag or pouch for the AAO?

I was disappointed to find that my AAO didn't come with the pouch for carrying it. I found that you can buy it separately, but it costs the equivalent of almost US$ 40, A bit high for something that comes as a free accessory in some countries.

    So, I've got two questions:
-Anywhere within the EU where I can get the standard pouch for cheap? If anyone within the EU has one left over, I'd gladly buy it (PM me).

-If that's how much you have to pay for it, are there any other, better alternatives in the same price range? Is the standard pouch worth $40? All I need is something simple to protect the machine from scratches and smudges when I have it in my bag.. I suppose I could just wrap it in some soft material but that's not a very stylish solution :p

You can try and buy it from the internt, they might cost cheaper.

    Cheers, ;)

I've checked again and found this for about $30 plus shipping:
    http://www.dustin.se/pd_5010167992.aspx

Amazon.de has the "COOL BANANAS Shock Protection Tasche für Acer Aspire One A150X 8,9" (what kind of a name is that for a laptop bag?) for $29 plus shipping:
    http://www.amazon.de/BANANAS-Shock-Prot ... 590&sr=8-5

Here's the first one I found for over $38 plus shipping:
    http://www.tbh.se/index.asp?id=3&akat_i ... One_Vaeska

I'm in Sweden but shipping from Germany, UK etc. shouldn't cost much more. Only drawback is the shipping takes a few days. Since I don't mind waiting, I might as well get the bag from where it's the cheapest. Is any of those bags a good choice? Maybe they're even the same one but with different names? Any better or cheaper alternatives? Like I said, I only need something simple since I already have a backpack where I keep the computer. Just don't want to wrap it in a towel or t-shirt or something when I take it with me ;)

I would get the second one, is the cheapest from all three and it looks good. Those three are almost the same.
I think the third one is the most expensive only because it says acer on it.

I ordered and just received my sleeve for the AA1 from DealExtreme.com. It's listed as being for the 8"/9" Asus Eee but works great for the AA1.

    http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15379

Only $4.99 USD and free shipping. Fits my A150 6-cell like a frickin' glove! Quality is great and the price...forget about it. Run, don't walk, and order one for yours. Even if you think you have a better one, get it as a spare. I highly doubt yours is any better. Only thing it lacks is storage compartments for accessories but I bought mine for basic protection. Love it! :D

Good deal for those in the US. Doubt they offer free shipping over the Atlantic, though. If you factor in shipping I would probably pay at least $30 for a $5 bag. Maybe something similar is available in the EU for ~€5 - 10 though? I only need something really simple. Can't believe Acer doesn't ship the AAO with the pouch in the EU - don't they think Europeans want to carry their AAO around? :p

I think the Acer Case is included with the 6 cell 120 GB model that is now being sold in the US. NewEgg is showing the case as included.
I would have purchased the 120 GB model i/0 the 160 GB as I don't need the extra storage and I do like the case.

There are a lot of sleeves to choose from that are under $20, many under $15, some less than $10 and I ordered one for $5 shipped from Hong Kong.

    I use this one:
    http://www.caselogic.com/7_10_laptop_sl ... lid=122243

Unfortunately it gets bulky if I include the powercord and adapter. For just the One, a mini-mouse, a portable harddrive, bluetooth dongle and ethernet cable it however is perfect; except that it can still get dusty ;)

Thanks, that looks like a nice one to have. I guess the "perfect" bag doesn't exist yet. :)

Since it looked like a pretty good fit and had the handles I ordered it from a reseller at Amazon for 11.76 plus shipping. I appreciate your help.

Mine came with a pouch in the box. I bought mine in the US. Does that make a difference?

I heard that some come with a pouch and some do not depending on who you buy it from and possibly the lot. I haven't received my unit yet from Amazon, so I can't confirm what is or is not included in the box from that source. I wanted *something* for it so I ordered the Hong Kong case, but will be pleasantly surprised if I get an extra one. The case that Grim Squeaker bought looks cool to me, but most of us are going to have multiple cases anyway, which one gets used depends on where we are going. The snug fit sleeve is nice because you can put it in almost any bag.

Here is another one that looks pretty good too. I have not seen the actual product.
