SKYPE on Aspire One

I am thinking of buying an Aspire One for my Mom. Does it come with SKYPE? She will need to use SKYPE on this device. If it does not come with SKYPE, is it easy to install? Please let me know exactly what has to be done. Thanks!!!

1. Go to ftp://ftp.acer-euro.com/netbook/aspire_one_linux/apps/
2. Download skype.sh.zip
3. Unzip and run the .sh file.

That is the installation part. No idea how well it works, since I do not use it

 

I'm on a Skype conference call on the AA1 right now, it works great.

I use Skype on the AA1 and I think it's great. Web cam isn't too bad either. Shame about the face. :lol:

Oh, I'll also add that it's version 2, whilst on Windows it's up to version 4. No problem with compatability though, just a much more basic interface.
