Skype working, but no icon

    I've got the icon for Skype in the advanced menu, right click, connection, then Skype, but I don't have it in the "Connect" folder. I've followed instructions given on the "Ten tweaks for a new Acer Aspire One" ( http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2008/09/05 ... page3.html) but after I edit "groups-app.xml", reboot, the icon does not appear & the "groups-app.xml" folder did not save changes I made when I go back to check. :| Thank you ahead of time for any help you can give on this matter.
    PS I successfully installed Limewire, but I don't get an icon anywhere, not even in the advanced menu, right click option. :roll: If this issue can be address as well I would be grateful!

    Got Skype icon -- I think I needed to "su -". Now to figure out the Limewire icon.

    Yep I have the same problem. But your getting further then I am
    I also followed that link but when i open the Terminal up it looks
    blank. Do you know how I can get it to show the info that i need to
    alter?
