Am i the only one who seem to have problems getting my AAO to sleep?

I am using a slightly modified AAo 110 (orginal with ssd 8GB), with 1.5GB ram, 80GB Samsung 1.8" HDD, soldered on BlueTooth (2.1 +edr) adapter and finally using a Dell DW1390 wifi adapter, hybrid sleep is enabled and using latest bios 3390, when my computer tries to sleep the screen goes black and the hd 'clicks', almost like it is really trying to turn off but something wakes it up just before it really sleeps.

So my question is what is the most likely reason for this, could it be my Dell DW1390 card?

I would like to hear from everyone who has one or more of my combinations and both working and not working sleep.

    BTW: Hibernate seems to work.

    TIA

I have ended up disabling hybrid sleep, as it was taking nearly 2 minutes to sleep. With just normal sleep, it shuts down in about 5 seconds, which is what you want with a laptop. Any reason you want hybrid sleep?

In addition, I found USB devices could stop the machine sleeping, as well as unplugging the power or said USB devices during the sleep process.

Not sure if this helps, sorry.

If it is USB devices then it could be the BT dongle, still i find this a bit strange since it uses the drivers by broadcom that was installed by windows update.

I have no reason for using hybrid sleep, i just thought it could be wise to get as much information regarding my question as possible, anyway thanks for your input.

    :)

Hybrid sleep is nice because if your battery dies and the laptop loses all power, it will come back up to your desktop will all your programs running when you power the laptop back on. Without hybrid sleep, if you lose power your laptop will restart abruptly. That's bad for the OS and you lose your open programs and program states. Hybrid sleep does take longer, but who cares how long it takes to sleep? It still wakes up as fast as non-hybrid sleep.

I'll try to bump this thread, can i make a conclusion about that i am the only one with these HW modifications that have a problem with sleep?

I most certainly don't believe i am the only one with the exact same configuration that have installed win7. :)

    TIA

    [Update]
These symptoms are fixed, i desoldered my BT dongle and the problem went away.
    Maybe a bad solder.
