Sloooowww Computer

    I used the eRecovery management and wiped the computer, and now its all good.

    Well, it certainly sounds like you went through an ordeal. Take your time putting in programs and suspect each and every one of them because, eventually you may end up re-introducing the unidentified culprit. At least now you can get back to enjoying your AAO.

    The upside is that, as usual, you are probably stronger now having gone through all of that.

    yeah, I know my way around a computer too, I saw elsewhere online that it might have been related to the secondary ide channel, but that turned out not be the case.

    I had the EXACT same problem on mine...all of a sudden about a week after I purchased it. I ended up doing the complete system restore with hardrive wipe and it fixed the problem. I then re-ran all of the Windows Updates and rebooted after each and every install. (I installed them one at a time, hoping to find the culprit). System has been running great, after I ogt it reconfigured, I perfomred a the creation of a system restore point, just in case it starts acting up again.
