I got the 160 hd model and I can't believe how much faster it is.
    this is more like it....;)

Am I missing something that the ssd has over the hd model?
I got two hours and 15 min's on the battery the first time using it.
Waaaaay faster web surfing and all around faster in working with windows.

    thanks for all the info.
    love this sight.

Good for you I am glad that is runningfaster. Actually, when I originally bought my Aspire and Its my fault, I didn't realize it was 8gb. It was so reasonably price I had t have it and I do like it very much. To save some space on my ssd I put my Outlook on my memory card and it works fine from there. I have about 2.5 gb to work with that way on my machine. I have no other extra programs on my machine so I guess that is all that is left after the OS is on the machine.
Like I said its a great machine. I don't know if there is an upgrade for the ssd to a bigger one or not???? I also have to look up to see how far I can upgrade the memory.

    Thanks,
    Bob

If you go to the second message on page one "Jeremeysdad" gave the info on the QoS properties. I personally don't know more that that maybe he can add more specific details for you here.
    Thanks,
    Bob

    Hi ladyk,
If you are using windows xp, the wireless icon should be on the bottom right of your screen (on the taskbar) it looks like a little computer with radio waves eminating from it.... if you left click on it once, it should open a window. click on properties, then it will open another window. You should see Qos packet scheduler now...just uncheck it.....then click ok...

This is all for XP, so if you are using another system, let me know

    Cheers
