Slow webcam recording?

So I'm using Camtasia and when I record the webcam it is too slow. I mean there is a lag between me talking and my mouth moving. I have experienced this all the time except ones when it worked perfecet.
Any one else got the same problem?

 

ya im pretty sure the lack of speed has to do with the webcam being pretty crappy (0.3 megapixel and probably low fps rate). There's a thread on the forums about replacing the 0.3 mpxl cam with another acer 1.3 mpxl cam, but i tested a few 1.3 megapixel cams and (even though they were an improvement) they still weren't that impressive to me.

In short if you are really bent on webcam recording, try replacing the cam with a better fps rate possibly a usb one. :geek:

I don't use Web Cam usually but I was just curious about this if everyone experiences the problems.
