slowdown in xp after upgrading memory

    ive just installed Corsair 1GB 667Mhz (VS1GSDS667D2 in my aspire 110 the start menu now freezes sometime and web pages take ages to close sometiomes i was hoping for a lot better performance but dont seem to be the case with me .is there anything i need to do to make it run better
