I just ordered my touch screen on ebay and then i was looking around for a gps and found this little number

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Smallest-66channel- ... 240%3A1318

    Item number: 170298047489

I was curious if anyone had one already and if it had been put inside the AA1. if so are you happy with it?

Looks nice cuz its small. The thing about GPS is that, if you put it close to the motherboard it will drown the signal, you won't get squat for a signal, period.

How about putting it in the screen casing. Is there enough room?

I went with a bluetooth GPS receiver, that way the receiver can be on the dash where it gets a good signal.

Search ebay for "Tiny Bluetooth Adapter" and "GPS Bluetooth Receiver"

TBH any BT adapter will work. Mine was £3 (about) and works great. Any Bluetooth GPS receiver will work either - obviously SirfSTAR III is known as very good chip and recommended everywhere. One thing to remember is to keep GPS unit away from AA1 which makes same kind of interferences and disturbs GPS receiving. I'm using GlobalSAT BT-359 - great little thing...
