Smartboard software on A110

Hi,

I've just bought myself an Aa1 to use when I'm at school. I'm currently still running the standard linpus lite OS, but I'm contemplating dual booting with windows xp so I can use the smartboard software whilst I'm at school. I have noticed that the smartboard software is available for linux, but during the extraction the message "An error occurred while accessing the archive", the command line output is as follows:

Anybody have any idea what the problem is? Compatability issues or just my lack of linux know how?

This is part of an answer ... sorry!

Yes you can run smart notebook on an A110. I am running 9.7 with everything working apart from the screen capture tool, which is rather irritating but not a showstopper. I am only using it for the software to create and view notebook files. I have not used it to power a smartboard.

However I could not get it to install using the installer. I didn't get the error messages you got though. The downloaded file extracted ok. However once extracted there is an autopackage installer which installed itself but then failed to install smart notebook. Not much use really.

I ended up installing it on another linux machine running Ubuntu and then copying the folder over. This worked. I'll go back to that machine and see if I can follow the exact steps I took.

I am going to try notebook 10 soon .... I'll let you know!
