    Hey guys!

My name is max, i'm from germany, so i'm sorry for my bad english...

    I have a big problem:
A few days ago a friend of mine smashed my acer aspire one d250. He stumbled and throw it 8 stairs down :(

The case isnn't broken, there are just some scratches... But wenn i wanted to turn it on, nothing happend :(
The power switch is clicking like it's working fine, but the netbook doesn't try to turn on, no led, no hdd turning on...
When i plug in the power adaptor, the battery is being charged.

My friend has send a letter to his insurance company, to get the money from them, but i want to repair this thing and wont have to get a new one...

Can anybody say what can be broken? Just a slipped cable inside the netbook? Something like this?

I'm very thankfull for any anwer!

    Thanks guys

    greets
    max

Completely dead is not as serious as not quite right. It may be just one connector that popped out, or maybe just a crack in the small power board under the power switch. Can you try to take it apart and look around. May be simple to fix.

    Viel Glück

You're right to wait for the decision by the insurance examiner before doing anything at all to the machine. Any evidence or witnesses that can help prove the machine was in good order before the accident will help. Good luck.
