Just google 'google code voodoohda'. That's the official project page. Alternatively you can visit voodooprojects forum.

No, this is what I am using for extra extensions.
I build this kext myself from the r8 sources, patched to enable line-in.
Mine weighs 233 KB while the one on the google code weighs 258KB (and is older)

For Intel ICH7 use this !!!

    http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index. ... ode=linear

Just Drop it into /Extra/Extensions and rebuild Extensions.mkext

that solved my probs with KPs ... on an AAOD250 ;)

Thanks for all your hard work guys ;) Installing now ;)

    regards

A Little Trouble with Keyboard and TrackPad

    Hi SP1950!

I have followed again your guide, step by step.

Now It boot perfectly (without KP) but Keyboard and TrackPad don't work. VoodooPS2Controller.kext is Packed with MKext Tool, but it don't work.

I have trying with another VoodooPS2Controller.kext and I have put the Kexts in /Extra/Extensions folders in install drive.

I think Extensions.mkext don't load properly from Chameleon 2 r658. I have tried with PC_EFI v10.2 and allways get a KP, but with PC_EFI the Extensions.mkext load correctly.

    Any Suggest?

    Thanks.

No idea. I got mine working with cham rc3 (actually it works every time with any bootloader i use, incl the latest pcefi)
You can try installing the kexts into /s/l/e using kexthelper anyway. you can also start with redownloading the kext from the group's blog.

    Versions of Kexts

    Hi SP1950:

Is there any form to post your three essential and small Kexts (Not Extensions.mkext).

I have found these files and are the version that I'm using:

    fakesmc v2: http://cid-8b65993ef55cf014.skydriv...w on PC^6/fakesmc^_v2^_for^_Sow^_Leo.kext.zip

    voodooPS2Controller: http://cid-8b65993ef55cf014.skydriv...vices ^5Inne^6 ==/Voodoo^_PS2^_Controller.zip

Disabler 64 for snow: http://cid-8b65993ef55cf014.skydriv...r install Snow on PC^6/Disabler^_x64.kext.zip

Re: Snow Leopard 10.6.1 - retail guide

    fakesmc: v2 from netkas.org
Disabler: x64 means it supports x86-64, and not leaving x32 users alone. So it works no matter what architecture it is. Anyway mine is from the optional extras from cham3 rc3 bin package.
    Voodoops2: from chameleon site

    thank you.
    i also have a question:
for graphics, all we need is the efi string, correct?

Re: Snow Leopard 10.6.1 - retail guide

You still need to patch your gma kexts after every update, or you will not have qeci working.
Efi string is just a better alternative of natit.kext. It recognizes the display as a built in laptop display (correct me if i am wrong)
You need both efi string and patched kexts to get gfx working atm.
    Just google 27aepatch.command
Or you can look in this thread to look for the file (of course you would like to go the google way!)

Re: Snow Leopard 10.6.1 - retail guide

    ok, thanks

    of course!

edit 1: =[ msiwind.net is down and i cant find anywhere else to download it

and to be more specific with my graphics problem, i can boot up fine, but when everything is done in verbose mode, i just get a grey screen. i have 27aepatch'ed kexts in extensions.kext, the original appleintel* in /s/l/e and the correct (i hope) efi string in com.apple.Boot.plist

Re: Snow Leopard 10.6.1 - retail guide

    Files uploaded anyway. :)
The one with "desktop" is useful if you want the patched ones to go into /Extra/Extensions.mkext but not /S/L/E/. The patched files will be created on Desktop, so you just drag them and the dependencies (check info.plist of the patched kexts) into mkexttool.
The other one is the original one, patching the files directly in /S/L/E/.

I think the gray screen issue is caused by missing efi string. Please upload your whole com.apple.boot.plist and let us have a look. And try to put the plist in /Extra if it is not the case right now.

    Good luck!

Re: Snow Leopard 10.6.1 - retail guide

thanks you for the files, SP1950.

i am currently working on getting snow to boot using the install drive (bulky 80gb external hd). i know that the graphics work with that, and if i can get it up, i will create an install usb so i can ditch the ext hd.

edit 1: grrr...project postponed until i can either borrow my friends mac to install chameleon or install chameleon from my windows

edit 2: the stick is now loaded up, i will have to wait till i get home to try it...

edit 3: no luck...something probably went wrong with the transfer and stuff...i used transmac (on windows) and had it write the dmg to the stick... disk utility o my friends mac also told me that the partition was disk2s3...the third partion...what about the others, i mean, theres probably an efi partition, but what else?

Re: Snow Leopard 10.6.1 - retail guide

    SUCCESS!
    1. make sure your dmg is read/write
    2. use disk utility to restore the dmg to the usb stick
    3. install chameleon rc3 + pc efi 10.3
    4. make the Extra folder and put SP1950's mkext + Boot.plist + smbios.plist

    continued to install snow,
    rebooted
booted using the usb stick as a boot-132 (ish) device
    installed chameleon rc3 + pc efi 10.3
    copied Extra folder

now i just need to update to 10.6.1

edit 1: when i boot with the -v flag, i see that it hangs at "Waiting for DSMOS..." a few lines up it say something about a "bug: launchctl"

after a while (30-60secs) it says
    shutdown code(or message or something) : 3
    it finally boots up, tho

Re: Snow Leopard 10.6.1 - retail guide

impossible, the physical maximum size of the screen is 1280x600
if you set it to 720, then you wouldnt see the bottom 120 pixels

Re: Snow Leopard 10.6.1 - retail guide

wwhat do you mean impossible ? limitation of osx ? I doubt it since mac have a standard res. of 1280x800
so it actually should (theoreticly) work with my 1280x720

Edit- I know the resolution works now.. only, i get a KP during install.. bugger.. any ideas ?

Re: Snow Leopard 10.6.1 - retail guide

...are you installing it onto an acer aspire one??
there are only 1364×768 (11.6", 751h), and 1024×600 (all the others) versions of the acer aspire one

macs have a standard res of 1280x800 because thats how their made...
