so I got the advanced mode...

    Hi, first post!
    So, I managed to get my acer "advanced" so that when I right click I get all those options come up. Got to "system" add / remove software, can see all the packages , think "great"....chose packages, then get as far as resolving dependencies...then I get cannot resolve...

    notification-daemon-xfce conflicts with notify-daemon
    Missing Dependency: gecko-libs = 1.8.1.8 is needed by package yelp
    I get this kind of message for evey package!!


    Help!
    I just want a few extra apps for my aspire!

    ps first time linux user, it's all weird to me!
