I need the final say; does Vista fully work with the Aspire One or not?

Some people say its to slow and other say the wireless wont work. I need the final say if it works or not. Thanks

Also if I install Vista will Aero work? And is the 1gb enough or do I have to upgrade my ram,

Well, dont you know or have another machine with similar capabilities? [Desktop, another lap?]

It works fine, but not for rought use, it slow down with to many open windows or programs.
Surfing the web, doing homework - Fine
Watching 720P Video, Running Flash, Photoshop, games - Slow, it is better on xp.

Also, why dont you try it yourself?? Make a 20 GB Partition with easeus partition manager [only if you dont have linux, or it will **** up], install it, test it, then if you dont like it delete it. Restore that 20 GB to you main OS.
This is my Aspire One booting windows vista:
Im using windows 7 build 6801 and tomorrow will try the build 6956. It is good. Vista only have 2.4 on the score index, Windwows 7 [6801] Show better results, at 2.9.

You will dont know it is slow for you until you use it. Also, wireless and All work fine. I say... wait for windows 7 or download a Beta.

I have been using Vista for a while now and I think it is great. 1 GB RAM, 120 GB HDD and here is my software list:
    VLC Media Player 0.9.6
    Dream Aquarium
    Microsoft Virtual PC 2007
    Foxit Reader 2.3
    UniBlue Registry Booster 2009
    Age Of Empires
    Mozilla Firefox 3.0.4
    NetSetMan 2
    LightScribe Simple Labeler
    Microsoft Office 2003
    Avira AntiVir Free PersonalEdition
    K-Lite Codec Mega Pack
    HyperCam2

Runs pretty quick for me. I don't think that I'll go back to XP!
    btw,

Mine shows 2.7  (On Vista)

Ah yeah, my mistake xD, In a previous install of windows 7 build 6801 it show me 2.4, vista was 2.7.

Also, in build 6956 it show me 2.2. But this time is from 1.0 to 7.9

I find it very usable with 1GB RAM. I would imagine Vista on an SSD to be slower than on a hard drive. Couldn't be happier though.

I've been running Vista on my One since August. I find it to be very usable, in fact I would consider it just as fast as it was running the stock XP installation that came with it. I did upgrade my system to 1.5G of memory, which I am sure has made a difference. Overall, I am very happy with it and have no plans to return to XP.

I did the dual boot with XP recommended and it works great compared to XP the wireless is tricky sometimes, but I think it actually runs smoother. All do is light web Office, Outlook and some quickbooks. Can leave the IBM BrickPad at home now. Tho I am pretty sure I am going to be reprimanded for using a personal computer. Oh well... Now cant wait for the 1gb ram comes to 1.5 hope i dont destroy it while doing it and the 7200 rmp hdd upgrade hope will increase the database copy speed.
