So that what Acer was up to...

After a quick check at Circuit City's website to see if any more price drops occurred, it was no longer there! I checked Acer's website and they have added more models....the downside? All of the new models and colors are all WinXP models with 6 cell batteries (Battery=Good, Windows=Evil). Linux models are resigned to blue and white with only a 3 cell. What kind of contract did Acer sign? :cry:

2 weeks ago i was in circuit city and it was at $309 on sale for the 512m SSD version, but the same model is back up to $379. wtf.

 

New 6-cell blue one appears to be shipping Sept 24th, $399.

If you think this is bad, pop over to the Lenovo bb ......oh boy! talk about changing the specs abit....like totally!
apologies in advance to prospective S10 owners....at least we can buy a netbook that exists!

 

In the UK it seems to be a bit different. All Linpus versions come with a choice of 4Gb or 8Gb SSD or 120Gb HDD, with 512Mb of RAM. XP Versions come with 120Gb HDD and 1024Mb RAM installed. The only colours at the moment are Blue or White and no large battery is available that I can find, other than as an accessory.
