SODIMM RAM Expansion Port

    Well, here I am, totally stuck. Doing my RAM upgrade on my AAO and I get all the way to the RAM and find the onboard 512Mb chip is not soldered to the motherboard, but sat in what I would assume is the expansion slot. I assume this as there is only one actual 'slot' and beneath it somewhere I assume would be where the soldered chip is affixed.

    I bought my AAO brand new and it was sealed in the box when it arrived.

    Somebody help me!!

    You did not read... SoDIMM module in extension slot is for fact 512MB but on other side of the mobo you have soldered chips... In your AA1 is 1GB of RAM - 512 soldered, 512 in the slot... You can replace one in the slot to max. 1GB and have 1,5GB of RAM as I have...
