If I want to rip a few of my dvd's to put on the hd for viewing on a trip, what software would be best for ripping to the correct screen size for the One?

If you are ripping DVDs (you know the unprotected legal ones that are in no way a violation of the DMCA) I would recommend "FairUse Wizard 2.8" A Standered DVD has a lower resolution then the AA1 screen so if you don't change the resolution, it should look OK. The is especially true of widescreen movies that you remove the letterboxing from.
