how well does "Microsoft Visual Studio IDE 2005" run on it? Do you happen to have a decent sized project to build on it?

I'm in the market and have been eyeballing an 8GB SSD/512 RAM (with upgrade to1.5GB RAM and better SSD) as a morning e-book reader & general use PC but I don't want to hamstring myself on power. I want to be able to use VS2005/2008 on my next machine without falling asleep while my project builds. My other laptop option (15.4" toshiba) just fell through - I wanted a smaller machine anyway.

I bought my mom an eeepc 701 2GB surf about a year ago and it is painfully gutless but fine for her needs, not mine.

    Thanks!

I would also like to know the compile time of a small project in Visual Studio 2008 Express Editions on the AA1?
