*SOLVED* Bios problem -­­­­ black screen

    Hi everyone,

    Yesterday i managed to do some repartitioning under gparted live and when i got finished i tryed to reboot and NOTHING. The screen is just totally black. I tryed to do the macles technic to recover my bios but it doesn't work or probably just a bad manipulation of myself.

    Anyway, heres my manipulations:
    -I formated my USB stick in FAT.
    -I put the bios file onto my usb stick
    -Renamed the bios file for ZG5IA32.FD
    -Press fn + esc (heres the problem)

    After nothings happen. the light isn't blanking at all.
    Please if someone got a solution for me it would be great.

    You only copy flashit.exe and the renamed file ZG5IA32.FD to the pen.
    Try it and say if it work, ok.

    Same thing happened to me. I sent it back to Acer, where they replaced the motherboard.

    These machines have some serious design flaws! :evil:

    i got the black screen even without fiddeling with the bios....(slowly dusting it off, and preparing to send it back to acer...)

    I am guessing you didn't really miss these items but just in case:
    Flashit.exe needs to be on the USB stick
    You must have the power cord connected
    You didn't mention pushing the power button while pressing fn + esc

    Hi again
    Thanks for helping me everyone. I don't know what i did wrong the last time i tried to do it but it worked fine after all.
