    Hi,

I think i f***** it up really bad this time!

I was cleaning and deleting small stuff from Synaptics today, and i managed to delete the kernel! i didn't notice this before i rebooted, and now, Ubuntu won't boot! Can i reinstall the kernel in some way, or am i f*****?

PS. I'm on a iMac now, so i can't make a bootable USB at the moment  I hate Apple so much!

    Please help me!

So does the grub menu show any other older kernels you can boot from? Or had you removed those previously?

The funny thing is that i deleted an old kernel two days ago! Just my luck! But i'll try to find a computer with windows tomorrow, so i can make a new bootable USB-stick with a fresh bag of Ubuntu. I'll update here tomorrow :)

One thing you can do also is make your Ubuntu live CD on a USB stick, boot from it, mount your Ubuntu root partition, chroot to it, and apt-get install the kernel.

I can post more specific steps if you wish
