Hi all new to the AAO have upgraded from the EEE. With my EEE i used it to stream live TV from Mediaportal (http://www.team-mediaportal.com/) to my little lesser powered netbook great. So I upgraded to the AAO with 160gb HD and Atom processor and 1.5gb Ram great what an upgrade with the sale of the old EEE on Ebay I didnt lose any money either.... HOWEVER I can no longer stream TV over my home LAN, i have WIFI turned off and ports open. I have read about WIFI problem with the AAO but i connect ok and dnt suffer from dropped connections so surely not this? Can anyone else think of why my TV wont stream? Incidentally i use my wife laptop and have no problems.

Those instructions are bogus! I rand a connection speed test at www.speedtest.net and my d/l was 4.44 Mb/s with iup being 1.70 Mb/s. I then followed those instructions and ran another test and my d/l was 3.20 then ran again and it was 2.50. I switched the driver back to maximum and my d/l speed immediately jumped to 6.07 and up to 2.04 Mb/s!!! Don't use those instructions!!!

Your speedtest result are probably bogus or inaccurate.

well I had great faith in www.speedtest.net until now. Switching off power saving and actually watching the office on nbc.com played it just fine, but my speed test is still giving me low numbers. I am completely suprised.

Speedtest doesn't refect the actual speed of your internet connect, well almost always.

Speedtest only tests the "maximum" "speed" you can get on your internet connection. Depending on the server load, the website you're browsing or streaming from might not be fast enough to stream the video perfectly to your computer.
