Okay so I wanted to remove Songbird because when I'd been editing the group-app.xml to add other programs somehow the Songbird icon dissappeared.

I was hoping removing Songbird and readding it would get the icon to reappear and it hasn't.

\How can this be restored again?

Infact in general I'm having problems adding new programs to the group-app.xml and for them to appear on the desktop so it's probably me who's doing things wrong as opposed to something not working correclty.

I have the same problem, actually if you redo the the group-app.xml instructions you will get it again. For whom be useful, i change the opt folder for the usr one and stop having the problem that if i don't launch it with the terminal it won't work.

I found out what my problem was, thanks for the help guy.

For some reason the line in the group-app.xml was had put itself outside of the <group> tag

    Sorted now though, cheers again.
