Sopcast?

    Hi all - complete newbie to Linux so would really appreciate an idiots guide to installing and getting sopcast up an running! Am hoping to hook the aspire one up to my tv and watch streaming football matches that way.

    Many thanks for that speedy response but being a hopeless newbie i am struggling a little!

    I have downloaded the .tar.gz file, opened a terminal and entered the coding but when i get to the line below i get error messages'
    tar -C / -xvf <path to>/gtk-sopcast.tar.gz

    ...am i meant to change the text to include the path of the file and if so how should that be entered?
    sorry Linux us totally new to me so i am still trying to get my head around it all !!

    Watch justin tv in firefox instead i assume you want it for football or other sport
