First time it happened after I installed the windows updates. Then I thought some of the updates might cause it and restore it back to factory and it was good for a week ( didnt install updates again) but suddenly it became scratchy again. Anybody had the same or any help on this one? and its not static electric.

    Thanks

Well, it seems like ram using causes the problem, I think. Furthermore, It was and still is better after I installed Astray Plus which was coded for Asus eee but works well on aspire one. I just changed the resolution to 1024x768 and it sounds better. I guess on 32 bit, shared graphic card uses too much ram. Anyways, My aspire runs better with astray plus and cooler ( i have no idea but fan makes less noise too). Give it a try
