Spare battery question

    Hi everyone! Im new hwew and I just bought my new Acer Aspire 8.9" 160GB netbook.

    I have a few questions if you dont mind:

    1. My model of Acer is : AOA150-1982 would this be my model number? What "series" is it under to look for accessories?

    2. Where do most of you buy your extra battery, on Ebay or a vendor on here?

    3. Im assuming a 3-cell battery came with my netbook. So does the 6 and 9 cell battery stick way out further when installed?

    4. For aftermarket batteries, what do you recommend? 6 cell ? 9-cell etc.

    1. I could not find the 1982 in Acer's list. I did find a 1983. It comes with a 6 cell battery. The series is Netbooks.

    2. I have not explored any vendors for batteries. I am a new user myself. The Acer store sells them. http://store.acer.com

    3. A 6 cell battery comes with the model 1983; I do not know what came with yours. The 6 cell does stick out further than the 3 cell according to what I have read.

    4. A 6 cell gives longer computing time than the 3 cell. I will buy a 6 cell for mine as a second battery.

    holy cow! do NOT buy a spare from acer's store!! its like 129 dollas!!! NOW WAY!!!



    ebay that junk, get one for 54 dollars with free shipping, you dont even have to bid, look under "buy it now" i think theres even other stores that arent ebay stores online that sells a 6 cell for at the most 60 bucks!
