Spare memory slot on 1 Gb version

    Hi all,

    Before I remove the motherboard to upgrade the memory, does the 1 Gb factory fitted version come with 512 Mb soldered with a second 512 Mb fitted in spare slot or is the soldered memory chip an 1 Gb chip leaving one spare for expansion?

    Therfore allowing upgrade to 2 Gb.

    its been written over and over and over..ad nauseam.

    512MB soldered on board and 512MB in the exp. slot, which is confirmed by the fact that you cant see a thread title like ' my AAO with 2GB RAM'.

    search is your friend.
