All the comments made about poor battery life on the One have me wondering if "Speed Step", aka frequency switching is enabled by default on the One?

If not, has anyone found that it makes much difference?

I'd have thought if it were operating at 800Mhz in all the idle and low usage moments that might make the battery last a bit longer. The Turion in my laptop, or the Athlons in my desktops can't be compared to the Atom, but they all spend most of their time running at 800Mhz without causing any problems.
