SSD Nightmare

    I had to put XP on AA1 110 w/ 8GB SSD & 512MB RAM. After trying to get best performace I used a lite XP image I found on this forum but after installing the last driver and rebooting it. I got a pop-up "System shutdown" and it's going to turn off after a minute. I was kind of in a rush so didn't fiddle around with it and just installed plain XP sp2 using FAT32. Turned off paging, d2d and system restore but it was still unusably slow!! I might have done other tweaks if I had the time but...

    Upgrade RAM to 1.5gb. 512mb is not enough.

    That Aspire One wasn't mine and I had to finish it off real quick. It's gone now anyways.
