Not known to many SSD's will slow down and lose capacity over time with out a program called trim, currently Trim is only available in windows 7!!!!

I think we need to call upon Microsoft to supply Trim for XP and 2000 which are still main stream applications, surely they must know that not supplying Trim for the other OS's is a way to force SSD owner to upgrade to 7. We need to put some pressure on them to save millions of people from having to upgrade needlessly!

IF you're still on 2000 it's about time to upgrade, even XP fells very old after using windows 7. It quite logical too, SSDs are just ewntering the market and people using SSDs have probably bought new computers running w7. The only group that wouldn't are some netbook users, which microsoft don't seem to care much about... Still, I've ran w7 on my AAO without much performace problems. ;)

I needed a lap top awhile back just for travel ended up buying an A-1 SSD with XP on it, it may be awhile before it slows down as I don't use it that much. But it would be nice to know the the drive is freshening its self when idle and no losing space due to this issue.

Might wanna state that this is only for aftermarket SSDs that support trim, unlike those included with any AAO netbooks.

FWIW, Intel's SSD Toolbox program doesn't even recognize my 8GB Intel SSD.
