I was wondering if it is possible to get stainless steel case on the Aspire One.
And maybe put a clear keyboard on it.
I do have basic design drawn out but lack of knowledge of Aspire preventing me to start the project.

It would be possible, you should just look at the section on dis-assembling the AAO, that way you could just machine the case in steel to match, though I would consider aluminum for its weight and heat transfering ability.

Sounds like a pretty good idea. One question though, how would you integrate the touchpad into the aluminium/steel?

Good idea, but guess you'd have to take a lot of precautions to prevent shorting out stuff.
