Some quick videos I made today showing the startup and shutdown speeds of my AAO compared to my Desktop. Results are pretty surprising.

The boot up speed was pretty impressive but the shutdown...

No clue :p I'm assuming it's writing things to the HDD rather than reading them, which makes it much slower than the startup.

That's weird. I guess even though I did have to use vLite to get rid of some of the junk (Tablet PC and Languages) to get it to fit onto 8GB, I wouldn't think that would make that much of a difference. This is also a fresh install, so that could also be a factor.

That could be it... whatever, yours is probably like 100x faster than mine once it's started up. I don't really want to use EWF because it seems like too much of a hassle and I don't know how to put all of my temp files onto the SDHC card.

    Only 512 MB RAM!

Sniper257, you have only 512MB of RAM! Once the OS is booted, it eats up ~500MB RAM! At least for me with no anti-virus installed...
