Has anyone tried installing Stellarium on their AA1 yet? I'd like to get it on my machine, and if possible use it to control my GOTO 'scope.

Yep - it works perfectly. You can install it though add/remove software, under education IIRC.

or just type 'sudo yum install stellarium' in a terminal (alt+f2,'terminal')

Stellarium works nicely on the Aspire One, not sure about how to get it to control your telescope, I guess some sort of usb interface and kernel module is required.

    There is also celestia.

To see further related apps type 'yum search stars'
