Storage Expansion broken?

Hi

Yesteraday I've put SD 16GB card into expansion storage and it did not run properly. I was using exact card for 2 years and everything was ok. Even yesterday morning it was ok to use it. 2nd universal port read this card with no problem. Storage Expansion see the card but when I try to open it there is a prompt that card is not formated. When I try to format PC shows that card is 512kb big and I can not format card because of error.

I am using Windows XP SP3.

I've tried reinstall drvier but it does not help.

Is it broken? Can I repair it?

Have you got any chance to try with another card?? The one you use last two years may be faulty in some strange way... If another one does not work in left hand side slot you may be right suspecting card reader it self...

 

You might be just right. I've tried to put card in brand new sony camera, and it dosn't work either. I have to test some other SD card to be sure.
