    What are these strange widgets?

A friend of mine was 'experimenting' with the Settings menus on her A110-Ab, and they started to appear; so she stopped fiddling.

The trouble is, she can't get rid of them! They persist through restarts, and have no way of dismissing them. They can't even be minimised. She can't remember the settings item which created them...!

Any ideas? I tried to attach a PNG of her desktop, but the Board attachment quota has been blown. They're grey, about 250pixels high and about 100 pixels wide, with a star-shaped logo in the middle.

    Heh!

In case it's relevant, the picture also includes a look at the system. I was running 'ps -al' in a terminal just before I took the snapshot, so you have a possible inside-look at what's going on in there.

    Just a thought.

Well, we live with UTC here, and it's 2258UTC, and I'm knackered.

    'Night, all.

    Hit ALT-F2 and run: xfce4-panel -a

When that window opens, drag and drop those "windows" on the window and they should be gone.

    Cheers.

    Thank you.

I'll email the solution to the lady concerned. :D
