    I've found streamripper 1.62.3-8.fc8.i386 at the yum repository but no suitable GUI frontend for that. The java product Streamtastic can't be installed via java commandline due to some errors

    Any ideas? Thank you!

    I've googled some hours to find this:
    A selfmade Fedora 8 RPM of streamtuner: http://www.bennewitz.com/rpms/fedora/8/i386/

    It has dependencies with some other packages that had been installed without any problems. It's a nice piece of software since you can close streamtuner and streamripper will still work in its own window.

    Strangely, for some streams you need to quote the full line of the pls file as stream source, i.e. not
    http://streamer-dtc-aa05.somafm.com:80/stream/1018
    but
    File2=http://streamer-dtc-aa05.somafm.com:80/stream/1018

    This makes it impossible for any associated player to play this stream :( Anyway, recording is fine :cool:
