Stuck in eRecovery ?!?! Help!

Just as the title says...

Switch on the AOA (120GB XP) and it goes straight into the "Starting Acer eRecovery Environment"...please wait a moment

Then to the "How would you like to restore" Only one option is to restore to favtory default - click this and it will format the HDD and when it says it's done, it reboots back the "Starting Acer eRecovery Environment" and the same thing again.

I have ran through it four times and it's a continuous loop?

Can anyone help me out?

i ran into the same problem when trying to reinstall xp after seeing how vista works. i had to reinstall vista to get booted back up and try the procedure again for getting the erecovery to work. basically it involves using a ptedit file to unhide the hidden partition and make a cmd line script change. also, make sure your d2d is disabled in bios before attempting things. then enable it when ready to reload factory OS.
