But I captured it so now you can see Acer's attention to detail. :D The highest closeup shot taken by my digi camera.

    holy chromatic abberation Batman

Are you sure you weren't closer than your minimum focus distance? or perhaps you weren't using a tripod and your camera needed slower shutter speeds than you could handhold?

    Here's 2 that I took.

I should have used a tripod for the second one but got lazy.

It's a lot easier to get a good shot of the Blue since the light bounces all over the place on the White. I can't manage much better than ishiverwhenipee despite my camera having a very short focal length and normally producing great close ups. Taking pictures of the same detail on other darker objects works just fine.

Best to use MF when focusing for macro. It's easier since this is a static object. My second shot was manually focused as I do agree it's not always easy for the camera to get focus on objects with little contrast.

I just used my really old 2mp Canon Powershot A40 (year 2002). I used auto-focus with no flash and 3x optical zoom set. It looks like Acer engraved the letterings on that plastic similar to paper money.

Personally, I wish computer manufacturers stopped treating their products like billboards for advertising. At least these logos are hard to see and arguably serve a purpose. I'd rather not have those "acer" logos all over my laptop, though, although I guess I don't quite care enough to sand the whole thing down and re-paint it.

I just noticed Goofball's blue AA1, the letterings are raised up while my white AA1 has a recessed letterings... :?

Can someone check if their Blue AA1 has raised letterings on the SD card slot? Thanks

As you can see from the photos from goofball, they are not raised.
