    Hi.

My processor is very hot, and I need do driver software in the background to get the fan quieter. Now I wondering if the CPU should be cooler if I take som new thermal grease?

The computer is around 1-2 years old, and I have try to clean the fan with some compressed air.
I got some Arctic Silver 5 3,5g if that make any different..

This is normal. The cooler inside has 0 fins and is literally a plate that air moves across. It is weak but it works. You can mod it if you like by getting a southbridge cooler or 2 and placing it on the plate. I did this and it made quite a difference. I have the fan off until a certain temp, and I idle at 52-54ºC now where I was 10ºC hotter at idle before the added sink. It needs to be VERY low profile though... less than 1/4th inch in order to fit.
